Les Paladins and Sandrine Piau
Having overcome London’s traditional resistance to Italian opera, Handel turned the art form into the city’s most fashionable entertainment.
Sandrine Piau, Jérôme Correas and Les Paladins, with help from a programme of showstopping arias and virtuosic Italianate instrumental pieces, show why the capital’s audiences flocked to hear Handel’s latest productions three centuries ago.
The concert will be about 80 minutes with no interval.
Les Paladins are financially supported by the Ministère de la Culture (Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles d’Île-de-France) and the Conseil régional d’Île de France. Les Paladins’ stage productions, concerts, cultural and educational projects and recordings are regularly supported by the Essonne and Val de Marne department councils, the towns of Paris and Ivry-sur-Seine, the CNM, ADAMI and Spedidam. Les Paladins are in territorial residency at Ivry-sur-Seine with the Conservatoire de musique et de danse. Les Paladins is a partner of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional (CRR) de Paris for training and professional integration.
