The Brook Street Band
The Brook Street Band presents sumptuous chamber music by Bach, Handel and Telemann, born within just four years of each other. We’ll showcase the best of German and English baroque music, illustrating how the direct and indirect influence of these three great masters on each other’s music, not to mention their mutual admiration for each other, left a firm imprint on their music.
As an added highlight, the Brook Street Band is joined by the Roots Baroque Ensemble who will perform extracts from Telemann’s delightfully programmatic Wassermusik Suite and Handel’s great Passacaille. Click to see the poster.
