BACH CONNECTIONS: BACH, TELEMANN, SCHENK, BUXTEHUDE

A delightful tea-time concert of music by Bach and his teachers and friends, performed in unusual combinations of Baroque instruments by friends from The Parley of Instruments. Gail Hennessy plays Telemann's Fantasia in G minor for unaccompanied oboe; Mark Caudle plays music for solo viola da gamba from Schenk's L'Echo du Danube. The friends also play together in other works by Schenk and Telemann, in the F major sonata attributed to Handel, and in Bach's E minor Trio Sonata for oboe d'amore and viol.
